for the Aero-Sport Power Aircraft Engine (IO-375) |
FIREWALL FORWARD PACKAGE (FWF):
This FWF package is very similar to the our Lycoming 0-360 FWF package. It is customized for the factory-new Aero-Sport Power IO-375 engine (which can also be ordered through Zenair). This FWF Package includes the welded engine-mount assembly with rubber shock-mounts, a stainless-steel exhaust system, the fiberglass cowling with oil-door and fittings, baffles and related accessories, oil cooler, air intake, fuel lines, throttle controls and more! This package is designed for installation of the Aero-Sport Power IO-375 on the STOL CH 801-HD, the Zodiac CH 640 and the Super-Duty STOL CH 750-SD. Note: Because engine space is more limited in the STOL CH 750-SD, additional components are necessary for some of the engine accessories to fit (i.e. Remote Oil Filter, etc.). The IO-375 engine is fuel-injected to provide 195 or 200 HP. The engine includes a long list of standard features and accessories, including:
ECi / CMI Nickel Carbide Cylinders with Tapered Barrel Fins, Dual Slick Mags and, Harness, Spark Plugs, Sky-Tec Light Weight Inline Starter, Precision Silver Hawk Fuel Injection, Engine Driven Fuel Pump, Camshaft and Lifters, Sump, Connecting Rods, Balanced Hollow Crankshaft, Dynafocal Type 1 or Conical Crankcase, Ring Gear, Inner Cylinder Baffles, Dipstick and Tube, Spin on Oil Filter Adapter, Prop Governor Adapter and Vacuum Pump Adapter Housing. Standard engine colour choices; gold, red, blue, black, yellow or gray.

*A note about propellers: Most customers looking for an inexpensive fixed-pitch propeller will find good second-hand props that are well-adapted for this engine. For builders wanting a NEW prop, you will achieve better performances with a ground-adjustable propeller which can be fine-tuned for specific flight characteristics. See here for available props from WhirlWind. Props are now sold separately by Zenair (not incl. in FWF Package).

Engine cowls and related accessories (spark-plug bubble-fairings, NACA scoop boxes, radiator intake boxes, oil-cooler intake ducts, etc. are traditionally made of fiberglass on most Zenair designs. These parts are generally included in Zenair's various FWF Packages as needed (see packing lists above), but can also be ordered separately. Individual component deletions result in reduced efficiency and increased costs; credits allowed for deleted components will therefore be adjusted to reflect this. Bottom line: Customers will receive less than retail credit for deleted components (including propeller). Thank you for your understanding.
