Aviation enthusiasts are invited to the Huronia Airport for this special joint event featuring Zenair's 40th Anniversary Open House and "Planes, Trains & Automobiles", the Northern Regional 2014 RAA Fly-in. Visitors are invited to fly or drive in to the event; to tour the Zenair factory, see the planes, meet with builders/owners, and meet renown aircraft designer and Zenair founder, Chris Heintz.

Since its humble beginnings 40 years ago, Zenair has been manufacturing kits for its all-metal light aircraft as well as a full line of straight and amphibious aircraft floats. Numerous examples of Zenair's aircraft designs will be on display, including the 4-seat STOL CH 801 and the newest CH 750 CRUZER

This special Anniversary gathering is open to all builders, fliers and aviation enthusiasts; owners of Chris Heintz designs are especially encouraged to fly-in - to meet the designer (a great photo opportunity) and to show their completed projects to fellow builders & pilots.

ZENAIR AIRCRAFT OWNERS PLANNING TO FLY IN: When arriving on Saturday morning, don't park on the flight-line, but taxi towards the Zenair factory for preferential parking. Someone will be there to help you find a spot in the grass. Don't forget to register with us for your free Zenair cap and lunch ticket. For the pleasure of other attendees, we invite all owners of a "special" or "historic" Zenair aircraft to prepare a data sheet with the particulars of their aircraft, including its historical significance. Fly safe and see you there!
Note: If you already have a copy of Chris Heintz' book (Flying on your Own Wings) and would like to get it autographed, bring the book with you! Chris will be on-site most of the day (and will also have extra books for sale on hand).

Huronia Airport is also the Aircraft Floats capital of Canada, with two major brands of aircraft floats both manufactured on the field: Zenair aluminum floats, and Full-Lotus inflatable floats. Come tour their facilities on July 19th! |
